Sixty years of
honest service.

Same family. Same corner. Same handshake-and-a-handshake way of doing business since 1966. Now at the historic Palm Avenue station since 1973.

Family-Run Since 1966

Founded by Bob Reed, who started pumping gas at fifteen years old and never stopped. Today his son Jimmy keeps the shop running.

FS

Full-Service, Always

Brakes, tires, oil and fluids, transmission, A/C, and a full-service gas station. The kind of personal, full-service attention most stations stopped offering decades ago.

A Neighborhood Fixture

Featured in the San Mateo Daily Journal as one of the last stations of its kind on the Peninsula. Stop by, they know their customers by name.

Built in the '30s.
Bob Reed's since '66.

The building at 1641 Palm Avenue has pumped gas since the Depression era, when it opened as a Spanish Colonial Revival-style station. Bob Reed founded his own shop in 1966, and brought it home to this corner in 1973, where it's stayed in the family ever since, weathering oil embargoes, earthquakes, and everything in between.
